About this campaign
Pizzability had a difficult first go-around in a high-end neighborhood where my staff were ridiculed by customers. If you don't know the story, please see the BBC article here: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-50007566
We have since moved the brewery to a more diverse and inclusive neighborhood. Now we are needing your help to afford a portion of the construction costs to build out the kitchen within the brewery. This will enable us to provide steady employment to our current employees through the pandemic and employ additional adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We are Brewability, an inclusive brewery that employs adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to brew and serve craft beer in Englewood, Colorado. You can see our website here: https://www.brew-ability.com
At Brewability we offer accommodations and modifications for staff as well as customers which include:
-picture and adaptive menus (color-based, large-print, braille)
-noise canceling head phones
-sensory integration
and more!
We are now trying to build out the restaurant within the brewery.
We are ready to ROCK N ROLL......out this pizza dough!
-We own all the restaurant equipment
-the space is owned not leased
-secured approval and permits from the health department and the city
NOW.... we just need funding for the construction cost which is estimated to take one month!
Why?
With the addition of Pizzability to the brewery, we can employ more adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We can also reach a wider range of the community and increase awareness of inclusion.
We plan on implementing a "blendable menu" for people who have G-tubes as well as a texture-based menu for those with food aversions. There will be a picture based menu for those that are non-verbal and/or non-readers, large print menu, Dyslexie font menu and menus in braille. We are excited to be able to offer these accommodations as we are within blocks of Craig Hospital, the leading Traumatic Brain Injury hospital in the nation.
The addition of the pizza kitchen will also allow us to better survive through the trying times of the pandemic while enabling us to increase hours for current staff and hire new staff.
