About this campaign
Another update: Mr. Bitchy's truck needs a whole new brake system. I think a divorce would be cheaper at this point. Christ.
Update: It was the head gasket. I limped her home yesterday, and it will be sold for scrap.
Driving home on this fair, damp, Monday morning from an appointment, my Mazda let the magic smoke out of the block. I'm fine, but after 177k miles, She's dead, Jim.
It's at the mechanic now, but I'm honestly not expecting it to come home. It hasn't been running great for the last couple of months, I never got the insurance payout for my accident A YEAR AGO NOW, and despite my pleas to Mr. Bitchy, he continued to say, "Oh we'll squeeze another year out of it." So as any good spouse would do, I ignored him and started squirreling away money for a down payment. Since Oxford has been cancelled, I'm probably going to cash in that CD as well on top of what I saved, and what I can get from this for a good, safe car. Nothing given to me for free, nothing from some sketchy just-off-the-navy-base lot, something maybe manufactured within the last decade. I need a car for work, he has his truck, but we commute in different directions. (Not to mention his car has the check engine light on, and the brakes are grinding, but since his car is in better shape than mine, his is priority for funds.)
I added additional cuts to this shirt, finally! So now the whole family can get dressed, yay! I appreciate any an all support, and I'm sorry to hoist this on you all again, but hey, more Library of Alexandria shirts!
Love,
The Bitchy Historian, Mr. Bitchy, and Harald.

SERIOUSLY??? The Library???? Who burns that? Sorry about your dead car .
Bitchy Historian gets me through the day, so this is the least I can do. Besides, I *AM* still salty about the Library of Alexandria. Both times.
