About this campaign

Lyman Brewing Co. needs your help. Without the proper equipment, I won't be able to keep up with demand. Please help by buying an awesome long sleeve t-shirt for $28 (gray or black). After purchasing, please share this campaign on Facebook, and help us sell as many as we can!!

I will alsoreward you for your efforts andwill gladly give you two bottles of my beer.* After the conclusion of a successful campaign, all you need to have done is: buy a shirt, and show proof of sharing the campaign on Facebook (shoot me a message, and I'll take a look at your profile for the share). Once we get the new equipment, I'll let everyone know when the first batch will be ready for filling. Sorry, must be 21 y/o andlocal pick-up only.

Shirts will be delivered approximately 2 weeks after the close date.

Lyman Brewing Co. is a small one man shop that was opened in February of 2013. I hit the jackpot this November when I won the 4th annual Bell's Homebrew Competition with "Proud Mitten", my take on the American IPA, which you'll be able to sample on tap at Bell's next summer. I think what set my beer apart was the liberal dosing of unique hops which gave it that something special that put my beer on top. I couldn't be happier for winning this prestigious competition, but it has lead me into an interesting predicament. I have quickly outgrown my brewing equipment!!

New and better equipment will help me achieve betterconsistency; allow for superioraccuracy; and give me increasedcapacity. Consistency in brewing is when you are able to repeat a batch of beer and have the second batch taste exactly like the first. Being an accurate brewer means you can control measurements (e.g. temperature) to a high degree. Finally, the increased capacity will help me meet new demand that we have. This will also allow me to brew larger batches of beer with little increase of time; which in turn will mean more beer out the door at a faster pace.

Each one of you can help me get some new equipment by buying and sharing this campaign on your Facebook page. My plan is to use the funds for the following equipment:

• 1 - Brewing Stand: This is a support structure for brew kettle, mash tun, hot liquor tank, burners, pumps, filter, electrical, and hoses.

• 3 - Brew Kettles: I need larger kettles for increased capacity. My plan is to move to the next size up, which would put me at 10 gallon batches.

• 3 - Burners: In order to brew beer, you need to have heat, and propane burners are very efficient at this. These will be mounted to my brewing stand.

• 1 - Pump: The pumps would make moving the liquid, in its' various stages, more sanitary and much easier. This will be mounted to my brewing stand.

• 1 temperature controlled fermentation box: This is actually just a freezer that I will convert into a temperature controlled fermenter using various pieces of equipment. The reason I need this is that surprisingly enough, fermentation temperature has a huge determining factor in how a beer tastes. This will allow me to control that phase of the brew cycle.

• Hoses, electrical wiring, hop and water filter equipment, sparging equipment

• 1-2 15 gal. Fermentation Tank: The 15 gal. fermenter would allow me to ferment an entire 10 gallon batch in one vessel instead of breaking it up into multiple smaller tanks. This is a luxury item.

• 1 electric control box: I would wire a control box with PID controllers attached to thermocouples and starters. This will allow me to automate most of the hot side of the brew cycle. This is a luxury item.

• 2nd Pump: I could get away with using one pump, but two would help more by not having to fiddle with the hoses as much. This is a luxury item.

Lastly, thank you for your support. It really means a lot to me.

**Please note that I am just a home brewer with GRAND aspirationsand do not sell nor distribute my beer in any way. I will, however, invite you to my home to drink award winning beer after my campaign.**

Prost!
