About this campaign

The first shirt sale went very well and lots of people have asked me to do another batch, so here it is. As our legislature debates bills full of loopholes and we are all increasingly told that everything is "fine" and "safe", many of us have come to question the notion that things were ever "safe" to begin with.

What started as a short film about a single incident has grown to be a much bigger project. As many of us have come to realize, the licorice flavored spill at Freedom Industries is not an isolated incident. There is a serious problem with industrial water pollution in West Virginia and the rest of our country. In addition to showing what can go wrong, this project aims to put all the pieces of the puzzle together in order to illustrate the challenges and dangers we all face. The time has come for citizens to demand that our waters and our public health be protected.
