On September 2, the CSC food pantry in Clay County, West Virginia, was emptied of all the food it had in the pantry during an overnight burglary.

“Except for a couple of things in the freezer, they took everything,” owner Freda Auxier told Monkey Do Project, a non-profit who feeds and helps Appalachian people in need.

“We had already been stocking for our Thanksgiving andChristma basketsand now ll of tht is gone, to.
[ese people]he little children to feed. They don’t know how to explain to the kids that there’s not gonna be something on the table,” said Auxier.

Monkey Do Project has pledged to replace the stolen food for the holiday meals--that's enough to provide 200 complete Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for the hungry families in the area. Profits from this t-shirt campaign will go directly into feeding these families for the holidays. However, we will only be able to help if 100 or more t-shirts are ordered!

It is hard to believe that someone would take food from a food bank that would have given it freely. I'm so glad Monkey Do Project is stepping up to replace the holiday meals.

I'm so blessed not to have to face hunger. I'll do all I can to ensure others have the same peace and assuredness I take for granted.
