Multiple Sclerosis is an autoimmune disease that attacks the protective layers of myelin, that covers the nerves, it basically eats myelin away, leaving behind damage to the communication pathways between the brain and the body. Doctors, scientists and researchers are still trying to find the cause and most of all a cure for this debilitating disease. Since the first Challenge Walk, advances in medications and the understanding of this disease has increase 100 percent.
