About this campaign

Shine light on the hurdles many LGBT+ people face alone and in the dark, as Invisible community members this holiday season.

"When I was 7 I remember a hate crime happening on the news and my father said, "good riddance". I knew that I could never come out to him as trans*. When I turned 16 I attempted suicide. Now that I'm 23 and independent, I'm out but I'll never get to talk to him again.

IWasInvisible #TheyreStillInvisible" ~ Anonymous Community Member.

Each shirt bought will help fund Trans* Youth Channel's Online Support Group Program catered directly to the Invisible online LGBT+ community of closeted, stealth, questioning and under-resourced individuals.

Half of an LGBT+ person's battle is faced alone, in the closet, while stealth, questioning their identity, or while in areas they cannot express their identities as they would wish.

In many cases they are not of their volition. They are held back by hurdles in healthcare, byheir ae, relious afiliations, their family, financial circumstances and so, so much more.

These hurdles are damaging. If #TDOR and the Matthew Shepard Foundation has proven anything it is that these societal hurdles and roadblocks CAN KILLl.

If Trans Lifeline and The Trevor Project's existence have told you anything these hurdles can hurt enough to lose a life.

Starting NOV. 21st Shed light on the hurdles YOU have faced alone and without help from others, whether you're out, closeted, stealth, or not by telling us YOUR story anonymously through this survey:

http://conta.cc/1WYkN6V

We will share it for you Anonymously so that you can tell your story.

If you can tell your story though please tell it loud and proud with the hashtag #MyInvisibleStory. Tell us about your experience with Healthcare. Tell us how your work or school prevented you from being who you are, or how being underage leaves your identity in the hands of your parents.

Tell us how it felt to hide yourself, and let us shed some light on the pain so many face, in the dark dark world of the invisible LGBT+ Community.

And do more! Help us raise the funds to provide resources with our #myinvisibleStory T-shirt and help us rais funds! https://www.booster.com/myinvisiblestory

Support, and help for the LGBT+ community's closted, stealth, and under resourced! Donate to Trans Youth Channel this #GivingTuesday!

This campaign provides an important message for the LGBT+ community; that the closeted, stealth, and under-resourced communities share the weight of our suicide and hate crime statistics, and many feel they are alone. Thankyou for doing this TYC
