About this campaign

This fundraiser is meant to help with the cost of food, first aid, and equipment for my scouting Eagle Project: trail renovation in the Santa Monica Mountains in California. We will repair the Encinal trailhead an important part of the 45.7 mile-long Backbone Trail.

I am working on my Eagle Project for Scouting USA. I have a commitment to and passion for the outdoors and want to preserve and maintain our local trails for hikers, mountain bikers and runners. The Encinal trailhead was damaged after the Woolsey Fire was a destructive wildfire that burned in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties of California on November 8, 2018. We will add a kiosk with trail information and a park bench to the trailhead. Please help support this cause!
