About this campaign
Buying a shirt today, you will be helping La Clinica del Pueblo provide primary care and mental health services to low-income and uninsured immigrants living in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
La Clinica del Pueblo is a non-profit organization and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to providing health services to those most in need, regardless of their ability to pay.
We believe that illegalization and criminalization of immigrant communities are detrimental to health. Healthcare is a human right; therefore everyone should be able to live a healthy and dignified life.
This campaign is inspired by Elie Wiesel (writer, Nobel Peace Prize winner and Holocaust survivor) who once said: "You who are so-called illegal aliens must know that no human being is ‘illegal’. That is a contradiction in terms. Human beings can be beautiful or more beautiful, they can be fat or skinny, they can be right or wrong, but illegal? How can a human being be illegal?
