About this campaign

In honor of Torah my Uncle Bret is biking in the courage classic which supports all of the different floors of Children’s Hospital Denver. With Torah’s multiple heart defects the money he raises will go towards the cardiac floor. The money raised from these t-shirts will all be donated under his fundraising page! Help us raise awareness and support an amazing hospital that kept our little girl alive! Torah was born May 13, 2015 and spent the first 4 months of her life at the Children's Hospital Colorado. She was diagnosed in utero, with Aortic Coarctation, a large and complex VSD, ASD and a Unicuspid Aortic Valve. Torah went into her first open heart at just a day and a half old. It was a long recovery which included a blood infection, g-tube surgery, and a heart cath to name a few. Torah was able to go home for a couple of months to Montana, before she returned to Children’s Hospital for her second open heart surgery at 6 months, which resulted in a much faster recovery. Since Torah’s two open hearts she has overcome so many obstacles! She no longer has her g-tube, she is walking, talking and eating like any other 3 year old. She loves to play doctor and listen to everyone’s hearts. Torah is 1 in 110, and her family will not be the last to experience the rollercoaster of CHD life. The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children.
