Potomac Overlook Regional Park Raptor Campaign

Potomac Overlook Regional Park of NOVA Parks is home to four non-releasable birds of prey that we proudly care for: a barred owl, a great horned owl, a screech owl, and a red shouldered hawk. Donated to us by the Raptor Conservancy of Virginia, these birds have been deemed non-releasable due to various injuries they acquired while living in the wild. These injuries would severely limit their chance of survival without shelter and human aid. Here at our park we provide appropriate shelter, food, water, and more for our raptor residents. In return, they act as valuable interpretive ambassadors for our many visitors and program attendants. Your greatly appreciated donations help us continue to support these amazing animals!
