About this campaign

We were presented with a proposal for a beautiful, inspiring, and enduring tribute to our daughter. Their goal was to create a lasting memorial at her school that represents her strength, character, and determination beyond the usual ways; something beyond a plaque, or a bench, or a stone in a garden that could become overlooked as the years pass. They wanted something that would allow her inquisitive spirit and love for science to shine through, make her and us proud, and inspire current and future students. The Rachel Turnage Science Scholarship was introduced last year, 2016, at Bear Branch Elementary School. Each year the scholarship will send 5 BBES students to Camp Invention, a science camp for kids that Rachel attended and LOVED! Each shirt purchased will help send a child to Science Camp!
