About this campaign

We are dedicated to raising money to help get woman and men who have served their country off the streets. We want to rehabilitate and restore them. We want to bring honor back to those who have fallen through the cracks. Leaving no one behind. Yes its a up hill battle. But WE are fit to fight!!

My name is Walter Carmickle. Served in the US Army during the Gulf War. Being medically discharged in 1994. Well I was not happy with the problems I had with both knees. In November 2018 I could take it anymore. I had to go to the VA. I had a full time job but I had a profile. So I couldn't come back till I was 100%. Needless to say I was out a year before I finally had surgery. In between this time I had my medical records lost and no income. I was losing everything I had. I moved my provider to another location. No after my surgery it was time for my rating. Then having to go back to the same hospital I left. They was not happy with me. Well you can imagine the ending. You can literally end up on the streets wait to get treatment you earned and deserve. Watching and living this nightmare i had to do something. Seeing my brothers and sisters in distress. Strong Arms Veteran Emergency Foundation was birthed. A 501(c)(3) Faith based nonprofit organization.
