About this campaign

Pancreatitis is a truly horrible disease. I honestly do not see how people overcome it with so little support and education in the medical field. If you are not fortunate enough to live near a Pancreatic Center, you are out of luck.
Everyday patients struggle. They fight drinking a few sips of water without pain. They try not to think about food, because that could bring on a flare and a trip to the hospital. They cry out with little support.
We have to fight to find a cure. We have to support patients. We need to reform TPAIT and other treatments currently available. More patients need access NOW.
I have never seen pain like Seeley has gone through. Yes, I have gone through a collective 59 hours of labor and delivery to bring these 3 wonderful kids of mine into the world. I have honestly never gone through what Pancreatitis patients go through.

We would like to make a donation to @mission_cure in Seeley's name. Helping other Pancreatitis Warriors comes from the heart. We need their voice to be heard, just like we want to be heard. We need change and support. Mission Cure is fighting that fight and it's time we help them the way they help us.
We also hope that by wearing these shirts it will help bring awareness to pancreatitis and the struggle Warriors like Seeley go through just to survive. Raising awareness and advocating while wearing an AWESOME shirt? It's a win win for everyone!
So few people know about how pancreatitis effects patient lives. Help us help the community. Tell a story about Seeley, or another Pancreatitis Warrior you know. Rock this T-shirt everywhere you go!

Hospital sensory supplies for us are a true must have.Brave Gowns provide sensory friendly, while fashionable, hospital gowns. They are also accessible for procedures and PIC Line needs. They are a true life saver for a kiddo like Seeley. They also save me and all of his nurses during quick linen and Seeley change. They are ultra soft unlike hospital gowns. You can Gift a Gown at anytime on their website www.bravegowns.com

Seeley is an amazing little boy. He is funny, loving, kind, and despite being non verbal he is extremely communicative. He has such a hard time when he is in pain but he still finds a way to smile and show love and try to help. He loves to play and have fun. He also has to battle the horrible disease Hereditary Pancreatitis. Nothing will cure this as of right now. There are surgeries but they are extreme and Seeley does not qualify yet. Meeting his sensory needs is imperative to his hospital stays.
Recently we lost all of our hospital supplies in a house fire. It was my fault. These bags are always packed and kept in the shed. I was the one who took them out of the shed to organize. When they burned in the fire there was nothing I could do.
Due to the fact Seeley is on the Autism Spectrum, Non Verbal, and also deals with Sensory Processing Disorder, we need certain items to help Seeley during his numerous hospital stays. They are critical to making sure he is calm, feels safe, and assist staff in doing procedures while Seeley is in a sensory friendly environment. It took me over 2 years to put those bags together. Packed, ready to go at a moments notice.

We are counting on you to help us not only replace these items but also help other patients.
PLEASE remember our biggest goal is not about money and things, it's the awareness and advocacy wearing one of these shirts will bring to the Pancreatitis Community.
Thank you,
Seeley's Mom
