This annual fundraiser will generate proceeds directly benefiting the 2025 incoming Scholars. The more funds we raise, the greater the opportunities and support we can provide for future doctors in training.

About SOF to SOM:

Special Operations Forces to School of Medicine (SOF to SOM) supports United States SOF service members in their journey to become physicians.

SOF to SOM started with a small group of Special Operations Forces service members connecting through social media to help one another prepare for the MCAT. Eventually, the group grew to include SOF service members who were enrolled in or who had already graduated from medical school. This group evolved into a single comprehensive resource that medics could rely on for their pre-medical school mentorship, from the MCAT to their first day of medical school. The organic development of SOF to SOM culminated in 2023, when various SOF veterans came together to scale this social media resource and officially founded the 501(c)3 organization, the first of its kind to cater solely to Special Operators in their medical education pursuits.
