About this campaign
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has put new rules into place that affect the sound equipment currently used by Sterling Playmakers. As a direct result of the FCC rule changes, the various manufacturers of our sound equipment have all discontinued entire series of wireless systems. Unfortunately, most (if not all) of our transmitters are now at or near their end of life, and replacements are no longer available. Due to the operational requirements of sound systems, we need to replace most of our equipment. We are asking our patrons, members, and our community to help us raise $15,000 to purchase equipment that is vital for us to be able to continue to bring high quality, family-friendly entertainment to our community.
