How do borders inform our faith or call us to action? This August, SPR Youth is headed to Tucson, Arizona to learn about im/migrant issues and allyship with those at the border. We hope to return with concrete tools to welcome immigrants in our own Chicago community. While in Arizona, we’ll work with BorderLinks, a local organization that has worked on im/migrant rights for almost 30 years. We'll walk migrant trails in the desert, accompany migration-related legal work, visit a migrant shelter (for queer and trans* migrants) and meet with community members, activists, and academics in Tucson and the surrounding borderlands.
