Let me introduce you to UW PhRESH's Youth Friendly Pharmacy Network: A network of pharmacies dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming environment for those seeking a prescription for emergency contraception and other sexual health services.

UW PhRESH is student pharmacist organization at the University of Washington dedicated to increasing access to sexual health services, most notably emergency contraception. We are doing this by recruiting community pharmacists in Washington state to provide walk-in services for emergency contraception by prescription. This allows more affordable access as patients can use their insurance coverage to cover the cost of medication, and improves access to Ella, the most effective oral contraception that is also only available by prescription.

Additionally community pharmacists typically have longer business hours than a health clinic and no appointment is necessary. This why the health care's most accessible provider is perfect to offer a service in which time is so important.
