Sweet Express is quite aware of the overcrowding issue and stress that goes along with being a part of any animal shelter. We recognize the importance of not just animal shelters and their missions, but also the importance of having these furbabies ourselves. Our drivers are on the road by themselves for sometimes weeks at a time and as you can imagine, can become very lonely and impact their mental health. Sweet allows our drivers to have dog passengers to keep them company on the road and it helps their mental health tremendously. Majority of our office staff also have furry friends and for some of them, they are their very spoiled children.

Animals in general are vital for mental health but, without shelters and funds, alot of animals wouldn't ever find their forever homes and would most likely suffer. They all need our help! That is why this year for National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week, Sweet has decided to run a week long fundraiser where 100% of the profit will be donated to Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary.

MAS is one of the largest no kill shelters in Michigan and is one of the few that actually have employed vet staff, a rehabilitation center, a K-9 gym, countless volunteers and most important, the passion and drive to help as many dogs as possible and set them up for success in find their forever homes!
