SXM Hurricane Relief

About this campaign

As hurricane Irma approaches the US, it leaves several islands behind and in distress. Most news stations and people are not talking about the devastation in the Caribbean islands. One island that is near and dear to me is the island of St. Maarten. The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money and collect t-shirts to help with relief and rebuild on the island of St. Maarten.
I spent several years living and teaching on this beautiful island and my family owns a condo there. This little island has truly become our home away from home and we are saddened and heartbroken to see the devastation and hear from our friends and island family down there. Most of our friends have been left without homes or anything else. Thankfully everyone is OK but we are determined to try our best to get everyone back on their feet and help our island rebuild as soon as possible. My family will be going down to SXM shortly to help clean up, rebuild, and check on our condo and of course our friends. We'll be taking down some materials for relief but are also aware that many organizations will also be bringing in larger amounts of supplies. We hope that bringing some positive t-shirts along with some money for materials, rebuild, and family care, we can help raise the spirits and restore hope in a very sad situation.
