After 10 years filled with hope, healing, and good news, Alyssa is once again facing a battle with Thyroid Cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes.
Alyssa has a BRAF gene mutation, which increases the likelihood of cancer recurrence and rapid growth. While this diagnosis is serious, there is hope, her doctors have shared that this specific cancer and region appear to be slow-growing, allowing her treatment team to carefully plan the next steps.

In the middle of this difficult journey, Alyssa and Justin are looking forward to their wedding this July. Her doctors are comfortable postponing treatment until after the wedding so they can fully celebrate this special moment together.
Alyssa’s surgeon and treatment team are located at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, requiring ongoing travel and medical expenses for appointments, treatment, and care. Surgery is currently considered the best treatment option and is planned for later in 2026.

To help ease the financial burden, Alyssa’s loved ones have created this fundraiser and apparel campaign in support of her journey. Every donation, purchase, share, and prayer means more than words can express.
Any funds remaining after medical and travel expenses will be donated to the pediatric inpatient floors at MD Anderson to help support other patients and families facing difficult journeys of their own.
