Team LBC 2015 BBQ Season Fundraiser

I started my career at the age of 16 in historic Charleston, SC, where I also grew up. I worked my way up from host to restaurant manager in some of Charleston's best restaurants. These include California Dreaming, Poogan's Porch, and Garibaldi's to name a few. With a love for BBQ I started looking into creating my own BBQ Sauce and Rub. 

In 2001 thru 2003 I was able to do some world travel. I visited places like Lima, Peru, and the Amazon Jungle, the east coast of Italy, Sicily, Tunisia, Palma de Mallorca Spain, Barcelona, and Marseille. I was influenced by all the wonderful smells and tastes that the world has to offer. I was also able to see the great markets of the Mediterranean. From the handmade items, to the rows of hams hanging in store fronts, this southern boy had fallen in love with the culinary treasures the world has to offer. 

Working to perfect a dry rub and BBQ sauce, in 2003 everything came together and Ledyard Bar B Que Sauce and Dry Rub was born. Catering then became my focus and honing in on the craft of BBQ. In 2007 I launched my website and created my competition bar b que team. Competing in several local KCBS BBQ events in 2008, the team then took a break in 2009 and I relocated to Asheville, NC. With a short stay in the mountains of the Appalachia, I moved back to the coast of South Carolina. In 2012 I opened The BBQ Pantry and introduced my new line of products to Etsy. Since then I have been competing in the SCBA & SBA.
