About this campaign
Baseball in the Age of COVID-19
A gritty group of Northern Virginia ballplayers last year set out with a dream – to play against the best teams in the nation in a week-long tournament in Cooperstown, New York.
Well, as we know, that dream was not meant to be. Yet, these boys picked themselves up and worked on getting better as ballplayers and as young men in the most trying times.
And this year, these boys have a new opportunity – to play against more than 40 teams from across the country at the U.S. Youth Baseball Nationals in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
They need your support to get there. On March 7, the ATB Arsenal 13U baseball team is running the “This is the Way” 5K, together with their coach, Coach Rich Mandleur. The boys are training hard for this event, each hoping to outpace their coach!
Equally important, the boys are raising money to support their trip by encouraging friends, family and ATB supporters to complete their own virtual 5K. You can run or walk it at your own pace and choose your own route.
Every participant who completes registration and payment of $40 will receive a super-cool sport-tech "This is the Way" 5K t-shirt, and a digital 5K "This is the Way" event bib that you can personalize with who you are participating for. You will receive the event bib by email.
Registration closes on February 15. So please complete your registration by then to proudly wear your t-shirt while you are completing your 5K!
Help the players’ realize their dreams to play in the Baseball Nationals this summer.
