Help us raise funds to help educate the Public on the how to protection our Pinenut Trees, they are being clear-cutter at a rapid rate. It takes between 50-100 years to mature and produce pine-nuts which have been sustaining the Great Basin Tribes for thousands of years. Our Pine-nuts and trees are in danger extermination.

December 2012theU.S. Forest Serviceissued a clear cutting of our Traditional Pine Nut trees in Sweet Water, Nv. They “mistakenly” clear cut 70 acres of Tubape, (Pine-nut Trees). The reason theU.S. Forest Serviceissued the cutting is: "Sage Grouse habitat improvement and Fuel reduction" The U.S. forest service is continuing to cut in our traditional gathering lands of the Great Basin Tribes. Sweet Water Mountains, Desert Creek, and Sand Canyon. There was not properNation to Nation consultation with the Nevada GreatBasin Tribes. Our tribal sovereignty and inherit right to harvest our traditional foods empower us as Indigenous people to save and practice our way of life. We are asking the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Managementto "Cease and Desistall cutting of our Pine Nut Treesimmediately" and have the opportunity for the GreatBasin Tribes to be consulted with as Nation to Nation consulting. Please help Protect our Tubape for future generationsto come. for more information visit:www.tubape.org FaceBook Group:TubaPe Numu www.change.org:https://www.change.org/p/u-s-forest-service-and-blm-cease-and-desist-all-cutting-of-our-pine-nut-tre...

Our traditional foods and medicines are our tie to this land. Preservation of Great Basin people's culture lays with all of us doing what we can, what our birth rite is as numu to speak out against atrocities being committed against our people.

Clear-cutting the pinenut trees that the Paiute, Washoe and Shoshone Nations have depended on for millennia is an act of genocide on the part of the BLM. I support the Tribes' inherent right to practice their culture and spirituality!
