Parkville High School - Autism Awareness
Parkville high has a diverse populations of both adolescents and staff, including over 100 students on the Autism Spectrum. As a special educator, I thought it would be a good idea to promote Autism awareness so that both students and staff could better understand this developmental disorder. Combined with our own fundraising efforts we were able to raise over $1,000 for the Autism Society in Bethesda, MD and the local news came to cover our awareness event!

We created a Facebook event for our campaign. That way, any time we posted about a campaign update people got direct notifications!

SPARK - Spread Passion & Reading Knowledge
We saw our best responses after we sent out our email newsletter to nearly 2,000 people, which we did twice during the campaign. Momentum was kept going by directly emailing supporters. It was just a great feeling knowing that we were helping other people and could really make a difference.
