"Students at West Broward High in Pembroke Pines, FL organized the 4th annual DiaBEAT THIS! staff & student basketball tournament with the participation of other schools to raise funds and awareness of diabetes. The tournament involved food, music and performances from many dance groups, cheer teams, and drumlines. DiaBEAT THIS! took place March 5th from 5:30-9:00 p.m. and we were able to raise $11,000 for the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation. The students in the picture are wearing their event STAFF shirts. "
