"This photo was taken at a charity yard sale in Homer Glen IL on August 2, 3 and 4th, 2012. The event was organized in order to raise money for a local family in need. One of the young ladies in this family (Katelyn) was diagnosed with small cell ovarian cancer.
Teal is the cancer ribbon color for ovarian cancer, hence the color of our shirts. Our shirts displayed "Katelyn's warriors." A Tshirt was given to everyone that took part in organizing the sale.
During the course of the yard sale, we were a united team of Katelyn’s warriors (recognized by the team t-shirts), and everyone that came to buy or donate knew who to interact with in terms of paying for items/donating... plus we just looked cool. Thanks Customink! "
