Kids Dance Outreach

"Kids Dance Outreach is a non-profit organization in the city of Indianapolis that brings children and their communities a unique educational dance experience. We provide transportation for 31 3rd grade students from the Indianapolis Lighthouse Charter School. They come to the Athenaeum Building in downtown Indianapolis each Friday where they receive 2 free dance classes. They take: ballet, hip hop, different cultural dances, African dance, and musical theatre. As a celebration of the student’s accomplishments we hold a Graduation Performance Showcase where our students perform for their families and friends. Most of the children in the program come from underserved communities; they are mesmerized by this new experience. Our mission is to make a positive change in the lives of young people through the discipline of dance. Because we are a start-up non-profit our funding is limited. We initially contacted Custom Ink, in need to order a few shirts for our staff. Customer Service representative, Nate was wonderful. The service, quality and end results were awesome. Soon after, everybody loved our shirts! People were noticing them on the streets, and they were definitely getting attention! We decided the children needed to have their own "costumes" for the show, and that we would do anything to make this happen. Having their own KDO shirts, gifted to them by the program, would make this experience even more special. With limited, out of pocket funding, we reached out to Custom Ink once again. Customer Service representative Adrian, went above and beyond to help us make our order. Adrian not only gave us the best options in terms of pricing, and product quality, but he showed a genuine interest in our organization, and what we do. Custom Ink made our efforts feel even more worthwhile. Needless to say the children loved their KDO Custom Ink shirts. The work that we are doing is changing children’s lives, and with the help of Custom Ink, we were able to provide an even better experience for them, to take on for the rest of their lives. Our shirts are catching people’s attention on the streets, and around the city; they are opening the doors for conversation, curiosity and awareness of our organization.
