Tough Enough to Wear Pink

"This photo is from the local Dubois Rodeo in August 2011 on "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" night, in a show of support for breast cancer research. Students in Dubois Youth Activities, Young Entrepreneurs Program (YEP red shirts) make and sell popcorn, cotton candy, smoothies, and other concessions each Friday during the summer at the local rodeo. These middle school youth learn small business skills, how to use a cash register, how to market their products, and how to provide quality customer service. The goal of the program is to provide youth with educational and occupational learning experiences to help prepare them for the 21st century workforce. Profits from sales are split between the students and the Young Entrepreneurs Program, making it partially self-sustaining. " - www.dyakids.com - Young Entrepreneurs Program (Sep 19, 2011)
