About this campaign

Shirt sales support Team Wolverine in the 2019 Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. All funds raised by Team Wolverine directly support glioblastoma research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Team Wolverine was formed in honor of Travis Sauerwald who was diagnosed with glioblastoma in 2016. The Jimmy Fund Walk inspired Travis to keep moving even during his most difficult days as he kept his eye on his ultimate goal of walking 26.2 miles. He accomplished this goal by completing the 2017 walk under his own power, finishing a full hour ahead of most of his teammates and raising $22,000 for brain cancer research.

By the time of the 2018 Jimmy Fund Walk Travis had lost the use of the right side of his body, but not his drive to keep moving. He was so determined to participate again that he recruited a team to push him through all 26.2 miles of the course, and together we raised another $23,000 for brain cancer research.

This year we must forge ahead without our fearless leader who left this world on February 6th, 2019 after an incredibly courageous 28 month battle with brain cancer. Join us and be a part of Travis' amazing legacy. Read more about Travis and #TeamWolverine at TeamWolverineBlog.Wordpress.com
