OPSBL Jimmy Dooley Memorial Tournament

The Oak Park Street Basketball League started back in 2010 in one of our backyards. We held an 8 player basketball tournament during one of our members 13th birthday party. From there, we have held 9 consecutive tournaments and have grown to hold over 25 members. This is a league built on friendship, competition, a love for basketball, and a will to hoop every year. Over the past few years we have added numerous members, none had as large of a personality as our good friend Jimmy. In 2018, he became very sick very quickly and unfortunately passed away in early August. He was only 22 years old but what he did in those 22 years, many of us could not come close to in a life time. He inspired many of us to pursue our dreams and passions, helped us through tough times, and always made us laugh. He is missed every single day and every time we step on a court. This year we are raising money for him and his family to say thank you for all their support over the past few years. Please buy a shirt, share our story, and help us continue his legacy.
