About this campaign
Did you know that currently in the U.S., 1 in 3 children, or roughly 32.8%, are born by cesarean? ICAN seeks to promote the lowering of the cesarean rate as recommended by health organization watch dogs by offering support, education, and advocacy to birthing women.

After a traumatizing"emergency c-section" I found ICAN. They have helped me heal and gave me the information I needed to have a successful VBAC two years later. I am so thankful for the work you all do.
I've had my own un-necesarean, which led me to pursue becoming a midwife. In the words of the great Ina May: "your body is not a lemon!"
To help raise awareness of the cesarean epidemic in the U.S.!
I had a cesarean with my twin pregnancy, but thanks to a few amazing ladies and ICAN I felt empowered and knowledgeable enough to fight for what I needed to birth my third child via VBAC.
I couldn't give birth naturally and very much wanted too! I want women to be educated and encourage them to not be that 1 in 3.
This is something I am very passionate about! I had a csection in 2011 which I believe could have been avoided if I was more educated. I had my first vbac in 2013 because I educated myself. Women need to know their options!
