Team Sweet Emily

"One of our sorority sisters, Emily, is battling an inoperable brain tumor and 35 sisters recently went to visit her in her home in New Jersey to lift her spirits. We all attended Virginia Tech and joined Kappa Delta together and have all since graduated. We reunited from across the country-Washington, D.C., Richmond & Blacksburg, VA, Charlotte, NC, Nashville, TN, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, and Baltimore, MD. Emily is such an inspiration-the tumor has taken her right eyesight and her vision is quickly depleting in her left, yet she remains positive and upbeat. She is an advocate for Brain Tumor Research and young adults living with cancer. She has raised tens of thousands of dollars for cancer research and continues to uplift and encourage others to make a difference despite her condition. She is a fighter and will never give up. I found out that we were a few shirts short at the last minute and they rush ordered extras just in time for the event so all of us could match-it meant so much.
