Gettysburg Cleanup on Oak Ridge

"Our group is made up of Descendants of the 88th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment, our ancestors all fought in the Civil War with the 88th PVI. Twice a year our group meets at the Gettysburg National Battlefield on Oak Ridge where our ancestors fought on July 1, 1863 to honor our ancestors and to spend a day of service cleaning up the monument grounds of the 88th PA. Our efforts have been that successful that we recently expanded to also clean up the areas of the 83rd NY, the 12th MA and the 90th PA, this involves clearing weeds and brush, mowing grass, raking and restacking the stone wall. Our group also recently presented a $1000 check to the Civil War Trust to help preserve the North Anna, VA battlefield where our ancestors also fought. Our group continues to grow and now number about 130 descendants, we recently placed our third order from CustomInk for shirts which are awesome!" - http://www.old88thpvi.com - Descendants of the 88th PA Volunteer Infantry Regiment at Gettysburg, (Jul 18, 2014)
