Raspberry Pi Camp

"We hosted a week long introductory to computer programming class with Python and the Raspberry Pi the week of July 20, 2015 in Summit, NJ. The class was intended to expose kids who had never programmed before, primarily under-privileged kids, to the possibilities of coding. The class was a huge success and we sent kids home with a) the knowledge and confidence that they can write working programs, b) their own Raspberry Pi computer to continue programming at home and c) a beautiful CustomInk t-shirt to commemorate their efforts. Liz at CustomInk was really superb. She guided us through the process of getting permission to use the Raspberry Pi and Python logos. We almost gave up on the process but her follow up and follow through got us to a beautiful design that the kids loved. Furthermore, we got them on time to hand out on the last day of the class. We were late submitting our order because we did not know if we would have the budget from our sponsors, but CustomInk came through for the kids!" - Group photo (Jul 29, 2015)
