Team JVT - Moving for Melanoma DE 2013 by Steph Cas - 11 months ago

Team Jvt Moving For Melanoma De 2013 T-Shirt Photo

"Jessica Tyrol lost her battle with melanoma on May 15, 2012. She was diagnosed with melanoma in October 2011, and less than eight months later, she was taken from us. Melanoma is one of the most dangerous types of skin cancers and is the leading cause of death of all skin diseases. Please help us contribute to the Melanoma Research Foundation so that we can conquer this terrible and deadly disease. If you would like to learn more about melanoma, please visit www.melanoma.org and always remember to examine your skin and have regular checkups with your dermatologist. Jess was an amazing daughter, sister, and friend. We miss her so much and think of her everyday. We know she is watching over us and looking down on us each day. For the second year in a row we got a team together to participate in the Moving for Melanoma 5k in Delaware. Over 2012 and 2013 our team has raised over $44,000 to hopefully one day beat this horrible disease. This is a picture of the 2013 team. "

Save Kellogg by Veronica - about 1 year ago

Save Kellogg T-Shirt Photo

"This photo is from the last week of school. Our favorite teach, Mr. Kellogg was losing his job and our ag department was in jeopardy. He is our ag teacher and FFA advisor which is the reason the shirts are blue and yellow. Everybody rallied together and wore keep calm and Kellogg on shirts. "Save Kellogg" was found all over campus as well as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Every body noticed our shirts and those who didn't know about the situation stopped and asked. They spread awareness as well as let our beloved teacher know how much he means to us. In the end, Kellogg is still teaching at the school, but not ag, and our ag department did not get shut down as threatened thanks to our awareness projects and attendance to board meetings. "

Nicole's Team - Denver Walk to End Lupus Now 2013 by Nicole Turley - about 1 year ago

Nicole's Team Denver Walk To End Lupus Now 2013 T-Shirt Photo

"The photograph is of "Nicole's Team". It is a team that I put together for the 2013 Denver - Walk to End Lupus Now on 2 June. I started the team because my aunt has lupus and one of our team members had her mom pass away from the disease and was also herself diagnosed with the disease. We raised $865 for the event. Last year we just kind of did our own thing with team shirts and it just did not look good at all. So this year I decided to get some professionally made. The first site I came to was CustomInk. It was so great working with them, they answered all my questions and even followed up with me afterwards. They even donated to my team walk, which was very exciting for me because I never expected that. I will definitely be using Custom Ink again next year. The shirts made our team a real team that stood out to others."
