This weekend, several of us ran/walked in The Color Run in DC, proudly wearing our Pongos t-shirts from CustomInk. "My 20 yr old sister, Tiffany Nicole Duncan, was diagnosed on January 16, 2013 with an aggressive brain tumor called DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma).. DIPG is a highly aggressive cancerous tumor located at the stem of the brain. Surgery is not an option and it is difficult to treat because the tumor rapidly grows throughout the nerves. Tiff is a tough cookie but her battle is just beginning so we started a team~CURE FOR TIFF~ and attended the Race for Hope Walk in DC on May 5, 2013 all proceeds went to the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure research to help find a cure for this extremely rare disease. We want to thank Custom Ink for not only donating specifically to our team for Race for Hope but for helping us raise awareness and increase funding to help find a cure! Thank You so much!"
"I'm a young survivor of breast cancer, 30 years old, and this was our first year of running the Susan G. Komen 5k. I'm there with my pink survivor medal and a few of my teammates. It was amazing and giving that we live in our nations capital, and our hockey team's slogan is 'Rock the Red;' it was only fitting to 'Rock the Rack' for breast cancer research, awareness, in support of survivors and honorees everywhere! It was my first ever survivor and I was so blessed to get to run it with friends and family. "

She was dressed in pink wings and other pink stuff. People from the walk recognized me from the picture of her. That is me on the left posing with the "pink cop...arresting breast cancer""
"Team Kramer participated in the Walk to End Lupus Now on Pennsylvania Ave in our nations capital, in support of Pam Kramer and in memory of our friends and loved ones who have lost the battle against lupus. We were able to get a total of 12 walkers and raised over $2,000 towards finding the cause of and cure for lupus. We were able to exceed our goal of raising $1,000 with a generous donation from Kramer and Sons Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning! Our shirts were a hit. The back read "Rest Assured, Together, We'll Find a Cure!"
"My team, the Pink Princesses, just walked in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Washington, DC this past weekend, May 4-5th. It is a 2 day, 39.3 mile walk to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. But its much more than just walking almost 40 miles …..it is the most amazing weekend of our lives and words can't describe the weekend - we walk, we talk, we laugh, we cry and we hope for a cure to be found for this horrible disease. The Pink Princesses raised almost $30,000 this year and the Avon Walk DC walkers as a whole raised over $4.5 million this year!! We are In It to End It and find a cure for breast cancer!!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Custom Ink -- we received compliments on our tshirts because they are awesome. But the impressive customer service and the charitable donations back to the community are remarkable and we will definitely use Custom Ink for our future walks!!
