"This was our second annual Gumbo Gopher 5K. Our small town of Lowry, SD turned from population 9 to 175 people for a few hours on the morning of September 24, 2011. Last year we started the race to raise money for Ovarian Cancer Research as my beautiful mother-in-law was battling ovarian cancer at the time. We had a huge success and an absolute LOVE for the t-shirts from the first year. My mother-in-law passed away two days before Christmas but we know how proud she would be of us continuing the cause so we have made it an annual event. I can't tell you how many times I have seen our shirts around the surrounding communities both from this year and last year. I find that extremely inspiring! Just the other day I had someone ask me if I could design more shirts from CustomInk so they could have one for every day of the week. I laughed and told them to wait until next year but this just goes to show how much people have absolutely LOVED the shirts from CustomInk. It's so nice to know that our shirts are being worn and loved and not just brought to a thrift store and stuffed in the back of a drawer. "On behalf of our 6 year daughter Alivia, we walk for the JDRF walk to cure Type 1 Diabetes. This was our 2nd walk, and to date we have raised over $6000. Alivia is a fighter, she does not let this disease stop her at all! She just takes a break, pricks her finger, gets an insulin injection and she is off being a kid. Love that girl.
