"Our nonprofit organization decided to order shirts for our volunteers to purchase and wear to adoption events and make us easily recognizable to potential adopters. We have had them a few months now and it makes us much more unified wherever we go! This picture was taken outside the store at one of our adoption events, pretty much a typical Saturday. This definitely isn't all of our volunteers, just those who could step away for a minute and were wearing their shirts! Of course some of our adorable adoptables had to squeeze in and say cheese! "The event we all participated in was called the 12 hour Hill of Truth and took place in Oak Ridge Tennessee at the end of October 2008. This event entailed 4 riders biking 9 miles of hard core terrain for 12 hours. This was a big deal to us due to the fact that several of us hadn't sat on a bike seat since we were in middle school and we all wanted to prove that we still had it in us. We wanted to make this event offical for us even though we weren't offical mountain bikers. We jumped on line found CustomInk and ordered our own uniforms. One of the best things would be the offical bikers in their sponsered outfits would stop and say hey it's the PUI guys. "Our neighborhood (nicknamed QuaNoKi) holds a block party every year and this year we decided to branch out and march as our own group in our town's annual July 4th Parade. Our theme was "It's Not Easy Being Green But We're Wheelie Trying" and through CustomInk, we were able to find not only the perfect shade of Kermit Green but a great design as well. "Team RSDSA participated in the 2008 Achilles Walk for Hope & Possibility in Central Park, NYC on Sunday, June 22, 2008. RSDSA participates in the Achilles Walk to raise funds for research into better diagnosis, treatment options, and the possibility of a cure for complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). This year, we were the largest team at the Achilles Walk, at almost 200 participants. CRPS is a chronic neurological syndrome characterized by severe burning pain and extreme sensitivity to touch. RSDSA has funded $1,189,847 in research and grants for CRPS since 1992."
