John T Riedl Memorial Family Triathlon by Riedl Family - 28 days ago

John T Riedl Memorial Family Triathlon T-Shirt Photo

"Each year we all gather at the family lake house at Lake Beulah, Wisconsin. Last year, my brother-in-law passed away from melanoma so in his honor we started an annual triathlon doing things he loved to do at the lake. We've had between 16-20 participants these past two years. Everyone regardless of age helps out with boating, supplying water, watching the swimmers, and providing encouragement. This year I surprised everyone with t-shirts from CustomInk and they were a HUGE hit! I was able to do a design that included our events - swimming, running and kayaking - and get a color and size that worked for our 8-year old to our 77-year old! It was a nice way to memorialize the event and my brother-in-law. We can't wait to do it again next year!"

We miss you, Jane!! by Team Dizzy Blonde - 3 months ago

We Miss You, Jane!! T-Shirt Photo

"My sister died of Melanoma in March. She was 54 years old. Her friends, my other sister, my son, and I participated in the "Block Melanoma" walk on May 18, 2014 at the Milwaukee County Zoo in Milwaukee Wisconsin. We called our team "Dizzy Blonde" because that was my sister's nickname affectionately given to her by our grandmother who also died of cancer. The walk proceeds fund cancer research at our Medical College and hospitals in the area. We had a great time celebrating my sister's life. We wore our shirts to a local restaurant for lunch and we received a lot of positive comments and well wishes."

We are thankful and look forward to ordering our shirts for Team Joe next year."

Team Jvt Moving For Melanoma De 2013 T-Shirt Photo

"Jessica Tyrol lost her battle with melanoma on May 15, 2012. She was diagnosed with melanoma in October 2011, and less than eight months later, she was taken from us. Melanoma is one of the most dangerous types of skin cancers and is the leading cause of death of all skin diseases. Please help us contribute to the Melanoma Research Foundation so that we can conquer this terrible and deadly disease. If you would like to learn more about melanoma, please visit www.melanoma.org and always remember to examine your skin and have regular checkups with your dermatologist. Jess was an amazing daughter, sister, and friend. We miss her so much and think of her everyday. We know she is watching over us and looking down on us each day. For the second year in a row we got a team together to participate in the Moving for Melanoma 5k in Delaware. Over 2012 and 2013 our team has raised over $44,000 to hopefully one day beat this horrible disease. This is a picture of the 2013 team. "

HBS weekend, Nitro, WV April 27-29, 2013 by Meghann - over 1 year ago

Hbs Weekend, Nitro, Wv April 27 29, 2013 T-Shirt Photo

"My best friend from college passed away 3 years ago at the age of 23 from Melanoma. Every year on the anniversary of her passing my college sisters and I visit her mother (3rd person from the L). The first year her mother referred to all of us as her new daughters. We were all honored by her humbling sentiment and vowed to return every year. We usually make our own shirts to commemorate the event. This year we decided to have some professionally made and I am so glad we did! The artists at customink made sure that they were the perfect representation of our friend's favorite animal: a flamingo. It can be a stressful event to plan as we all come from different states, but our order from customink was the least of our worries. Thank you for helping us celebrate this year in style!"

This was our first year for the walk. The University of Arizona Cancer Center sponsored the walk, and that is where my husband is being treated for his cancer. Custom Ink was very helpful in making our team shirts and even provided my husband with a free long sleeve shirt. Not only that they made a very nice and generous donation to the team, Thanks Custom Ink."
