"This is our 2013 team photo after completing the 2013 March of Dimes March for Babies in Riverside, CA. This is our 4th year walking as Team Little Ruben IV in memory of mine and my husbands first born son who died shortly after birth in 2010 from a congenital birth defect. The March of Dimes is extremely important to us and our family and we are committed to participating and raising as much as possible each year for their research. "My best friend from college passed away 3 years ago at the age of 23 from Melanoma. Every year on the anniversary of her passing my college sisters and I visit her mother (3rd person from the L). The first year her mother referred to all of us as her new daughters. We were all honored by her humbling sentiment and vowed to return every year. We usually make our own shirts to commemorate the event. This year we decided to have some professionally made and I am so glad we did!
