"We walked at an Out of the Darkness Campus Walk. These walks are organized to help raise awareness about suicide. My sister, Chappell, died by suicide on 21 May 2010. We have walked for her in the past at the community walks, but this walk was special because it was at the campus we grew up at and worked at. We always walk and share Chappell's story in hope that it can help someone. CustomInk was amazing in helping me put together these beautiful shirts. I was overly picky in designing the shirt, and everyone was so helpful. This is my second time using CutomInk but not my last. Thank you all!"

Journey Out of the Darkness with Conversations With Tigers by Conversations With Tigers - about 1 year ago

Journey Out Of The Darkness With Conversations With Tigers T-Shirt Photo

"The pandemic of suicide claims the lives of more than 38,000 people in the United States alone. Every 14 minutes someone dies from suicide in our country. It's the second-leading cause of death among college students. These gruesome statistics unearth a population of millions of survivors such as myself and my friends and family members who are left paralyzed in the wake of such inexplicable losses. Six months ago I lost the most important in my orbit to suicide. No one should have to experience this type of loss. From June 1-2, I walked 16.5 miles with the four other members of my Conversations With Tigers team and thousands of fellow Americans across our nation's capital to bring national focus to the issue of suicide prevention. We exceeded our team goal of raising $10,000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the leading national not-for-profit organizations dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research and education and to reaching out to survivors of suicide and those who suffer from mood and mental disorders. This shot was snapped just before the long journey. Our team felt extra optimistic about the cause donned in our sunny Custom Ink tees. As the captain, I had the wonderful task of designing the t-shirts, and the staff at Custom Ink was amazing to work with. Not only did they answer all of my questions promptly; every staffer provided real-time updates on the order status. I was also touched, moved and inspired by their donation to the cause :)"

"I heard of this organization threw my Dr. he thought this program would help me a lot. I lost my son to suicide May 26th, 2012 over a girl. this has destroyed me a lot. I wanted to do something to let be known that there are people out there that will help you if you just let them. Out Of The Darkness will be in Conde, SD Sept. 14th and Im the head of it. It is something to keep you busy and not think of things. I just got on the internet to look for t-shirts and customink was very good with me. So I went with them. Very helpful"

There Is Always Hope! T-Shirt Photo

"We lost a sister, mother, daughter, and friend on September 4, 2010. This is our group participating in the 2011 Out of the Darkness walk for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. My sisters favorite color was hot pink, and she loved sunflowers. We walked our hearts off in her honor, and received a number of compliments on our wonderful T-shirts. Working with CustomInk for such a special occasion was fantastic. It was quick and easy, and I am still shocked at how quickly I received the shirts. I am also thankful that CustomInk donated to our team to help support suicide prevention. "
