Be Like Brit Race Team by Kristin Hervey Musser - 12 months ago

Be Like Brit Race Team T-Shirt Photo

"The Be Like Brit Race Team runs to help the children of Haiti in memory of Britney Gengel, who died in the tragic Haiti earthquake of 2010. ABOUT BE LIKE BRIT In many ways, Britney Gengel from Rutland Massachusetts was a typical 19-year-old young woman, but her humor, passion and deep sense of caring for those less fortunate made her memorable to all who met her. It was her compassion for others that brought Britney to Haiti on January 11, 2010, just a day before the catastrophic earthquake that claimed an estimated 230,000 lives. Britney had spent the day visiting Haitian orphanages in Port-Au-Prince and just a few hours later, Britney, three of her fellow students, and two Lynn University professors lost their lives in the rubble of the Hotel Montana. Britney was missing for 33 days before her remains were recovered. Fortunately, Britney’s dream did not die with her. Only hours before the earthquake, Britney sent a text message to her family that read: “They love us so much and everyone is so happy. They love what they have and they work so hard to get nowhere, yet they are all so appreciative. I want to move here and start an orphanage myself.” These forty words would sustain Britney’s family through the tragedy and, ultimately, serve as the driving force behind the establishment of the Be Like Brit Foundation and the decision to build an orphanage in Grand Goâve for the children of Haiti. The mission of the BLB Foundation is “to serve the children of Haiti by establishing a safe, nurturing and sustainable orphanage in an environment where they can grow, learn and thrive.” We welcomed our first child on January 21st, and are now a family of 33 children! We have had exciting milestones, too, including the first round of report cards, first visits from the tooth fairy, and we have had birthday celebrations! Our children are really thriving!"

Rugged Maniac Before Photo T-Shirt Photo

"I'm an avid runner and wanted my friends - who are anti-running, to share in a "race" experience with me. I thought as long as I make this fun for everyone, then maybe I can encourage more events like this one. I wanted us to be easily identified so I thought of ordering shirts with our favorite numbers and names on the back. The selection was unbeatable at Custom Ink. My order was delivered promptly and we all loved our shirts. Can't wait to find our next event so I can design more!"

Ready, Set, Go (Sort Of)!!! Schumacher Toe 5k T-Shirt Photo

"We planned a 5k at our Schumacher Family Reunion. Our 5k was attempted by 3 generations of schumachers. Cousin Jim wore his shirt proudly, but he clearly was a little off with his choice khaki dress pants to complete his 5k wardrobe...and he doesn't quite look ready to run. Can you spot him in this picture???"

Bachelor Mountain Run 2013 by Torrey - 12 months ago

Bachelor Mountain Run 2013 T-Shirt Photo

"In lieu of a bachelor party for our now-married friend, we went on a run around a lake in the Rockies in Colorado. To go with our wacky sense of humor, we had custom shirts made up with a picture of a runner running up the bridge of the groom's nose. CustomInk is what we went with to print the shirts, and they turned out to be a hit!"

Ultra Schweaty Pickles Wasatch Ragnar by SchweatyPickles - about 1 year ago

Ultra Schweaty Pickles Wasatch Ragnar T-Shirt Photo

"We ordered 6 shirts to wear as our Ultra 6 man team for the Wasatch Back Ragnar in Utah. A 6 man team (most are 12) to run 198 miles over several mountain peaks. We finished in 30 hours 30minutes 31 seconds. Our shirts were a huge success with people often saying "Hey those are the pickle guys!" We wore our shirts at all exchanges and wore them proudly as we finished as a team running together through the finish at Park City, Utah. The help and ease with which CustomInk made our order complete will keep us coming back again. Next year watch out for the Utlra Schweaty Pickles II!!! "
