"This is our Beat the Couch team in sunny Bermuda! We got 47 people off the couch and 5K fit in 10 weeks. The programme was designed for complete beginners who in week 1 found it hard to run for just 60 seconds. 10 weeks later, here they are! We had them "beat the couch" by getting off it, but also literally beat it around the course. We put our couch on wheels and our local running elite pushed it along the route :-) This was an emotional journey for so many of our team who never believed they could do it, and yet found themselves crossing the line. We are unbelievably proud of each and every one. Your t-shirts really did make us feel like a team and ordering was so easy! "The Couch Potato Ninjas are a team of veterans, military families, and friends - we have participated in the Run to Home Base in Boston for three years in a row volunteering to raise money for the Home Base Program, which provides care for veterans living with combat stress disorders and TBI, and support services for their families. This is our 2013 team pre-event, near the tables just inside Gate B at Fenway Park. The run finishes inside Fenway Park. While this is our third year participating in the event, it is our second year working with CustomInk. And as our team has improved in numbers and funds raised, our shirts have also improved. "The CFLF is developing a running series to promote the awareness Cystic Fibrosis & the CFLF. "Ragnar SoCal 2013. Our six-person "ULTRA" Team ran 193 miles from Huntington Beach to San Diego between Friday, April 19 at 8am and Satuday, April 20 at 3:00pm. On average, each runner completed 33 miles in less than a 24 hour period. Our team name was "Like a Freak." This is a picture of us at the finish line on Saturday afternoon."
