"Every year all six of the Texas Neurosurgery Residency programs get together for an education conference, preceded by a lively softball tournament. Not only are these men and women skilled neurosurgeons but they are also pretty good at team sports!! After all, taking care of a patient is a real team effort. We had such a fun time during this event - this year the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Dept. of Neurosurgery hosted the event in Houston. We decided to show our team spirit and get custom t-shirts. By chance (or not) we found this awesome 1/2 brain 1/2 softball logo design on CustomInk.com - how fitting! "Alissa organized a community softball game to raise money and awareness for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The game raised over $1,000 with all proceeds going to Make-A-Wish. The event took place at Johnston Middle School in Houston, TX. The players are gathered together before the start of the game in their CustomInk t-shirts. "Here are some pictures of our softball team “Vegas Alumni” taken at the 1st Inaugural NSA Senior Softball Tournament. Since we’re all from Las Vegas, we decided to use names on the back of our shirts to represent some of the past & present “Famous” as well as “Infamous” personalities who helped make Las Vegas famous! Of course there is an Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin as well as a Jimmy Kimmel, Kyle Busch, David Copperfield and also a Ralph Lamb, Anthony Spilotro, Bugsy Siegel. "My company, Meadows & Ohly, sponsored a team in the Wish for Wendy softball tournament outside of Atlanta on November 10th to raise money for cystic fibrosis research. "This was a softball Halloween Bash and we chose a cancer theme as our costume for the event. One of our player's mom has been cancer free for one year so she was our inspiration. We dressed as boxers with the black eyes, cuts and bruises to represent the battle that our friends and family endure during the fight. Our parents purchased shirts along with the girls. It was a fun day for all.

"At Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua NY this summer, 20+ moms and 20+ daughters got together to play the '1st Annual Mother-Daughter Softball Game' to help raise money for breast cancer research.
Despite the rainy weather, moms and daughters had a great time playing together and raising $700 towards breast cancer research.
