"About The Girls Rescue Center
The purpose of this Girls' Rescue Center in Maasailand, Kenya is to address the tragic practices of FGM (female genital mutilation) and forced marriages. These common practices, occurring in large numbers in tribal Africa, continue to inflict pain, humiliation, and poverty on young women. The GRC officially opened in January 2010, and eventually will house 100 young girls as funding becomes available"
