Custom T-Shirts for alzheimer's walk

Walking for our Hero by ProudWheelers - 4 months ago

Walking For Our Hero T-Shirt Photo

"Our family participated in the Alzheimer's walk this year in support of our Mom/Maw-Maw. We wanted a picture of her to represent what she was before this disease stole her from us. A t-shirt was the perfect way to display her picture and our sentiments. Above her picture was printed 'For our Hero, Our Rock' The back said 'I Believe In, I dream of, I pray for - A cure' Our babies shirts said ' Riding for my Maw-Maw' With a disease that makes us all feel so helpless, it meant a lot to us to be able to show our pride in our warrior. We had some issues with the initial printing of some of the shirts. Given the timing, I didn't think we would have all of the shirts for the walk. Custom Ink re-printed the shirts we needed and overnighted them to us so all had shirts for the walk. We had many comments. We all plan to walk again next year, and we'll wear our shirts with pride. "We did get the shirts for an Alzheimer's walk in Indianapolis. Our family had lost my Mother in law in July 2013 and we wanted to honor her and to try to raise money to fight this ugly disease. Her name was Opal Lovelace and she would have been 93 on October 12th of this year. The walk was today and it was an honor to walk this walk for her."

Walking For Donna by Donna's Darlings - 7 months ago

Walking For Donna T-Shirt Photo

"On 10/5/2013 our family did our first Alzheimer's Walk in Pittsburgh, PA for my Mom Donna, who is 78 years old. She was first diagnosed with Alzheimers almost four years ago. She's been a single parent for 33 years and raised four teenagers and two grandchildren. She never drove so she relied on public transportation and she walked everywhere. So it was fitting that we would walk for her. It was a very moving day for all of us and plan to open it up next year for friends to participate. This year we didn't know what to expect so we just kept it to the family. Look out 2014. "
