Feel the Force at Twin Cities Heart Walk by Jamie - about 1 month ago
"We used our CustomInk t-shirts to show that our team was honoring the memory of our relative George, who recently passed due to a congenital heart defect. He was a Star Wars fan, and we were able to incorporate that into our team shirts. We walked the Twin Cities Heart Walk on May 31st to raise money and awareness for the American Heart association. We hope that we can help make a difference in the lives of other children that are going through similar situations. Feel the force!"

"This is our Tough Mudder New England Team from May 31, 2014. We we're running in support amd memory of the Lis family, specifically Kerri who lost her long battle with cancer. Customink has been absolutely amazing! Great customer service from each member of the company has been above and beyond. The quality of the shirts and print was great as well. Customink even made a donation to the Dana Farber Institute in Kerri's name! The Lis family was very appreciative. Thanks again!!"
Dogs are Miracles with Paws - RUSVM's Josh Project by Laura Byers, Josh Project Chair, Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine - about 1 month ago
"RUSVM's Josh Project (stemming from the national organization, Josh and Friends), reaches out to the sick and hospitalized children on the island of St. Kitts. We aim to ease pain, calm fears, and help with their overall healing process by utilizing the unique and powerful human-animal bond. One way we carry out our mission is through hospital donation visits, in which each child gets a stuffed puppy dog named Josh, and a book that we read with them called "I'll Be O.K.". We are able to carry out our mission because of our many fundraisers. This picture was taken at our most recent fundraiser, on May 24, 2014: Woof for Wellness. Woof for Wellness was a health & fitness retreat that benefited the children and animals in our community! Our classes (yoga, dance, aerobics and more) looked out over the beautiful Caribbean Sea with a view of our sister island, Nevis. This picture shows some of our Josh Project volunteers wearing their CustomInk tees! We've been ordering these tees for our active members since RUSVM's Josh Project began in 2010! "

Avenging Heart Disease at the AHA Heart Walk by Liz - about 1 month ago
"This is the 2nd year CustomInk has made team shirts for our heart walk/5k team, My Heart Is A Big Deal. The help and customer service is beyond amazing! That's why we're back. My name is Liz. I'm the one in the red hat and red cape. At the heart walk survivors wear red hats and survivors of congenital heart defects wear red Heart Hero capes. I had open heart surgery in 2010 just 3 months after I was diagnosed with a failing heart that I'd been born with that was causing my heart to enlarge. I had no idea I had been living with heart disease my entire life until I was too weak and too short of breath to climb the stairs in my home. I was very close to death after the surgery and my husband was trying to find the words to tell our 4 children he wasn't bringing me home. It was a tough battle, but I fought and I survived with the care, love, and support of many. I have brought a team to heart walk for 4 years and I was chosen a National Spokeswoman for American Heart Association Go Red For Women in 2011. I've been an active volunteer since. I raise awareness that heart disease is the #1 killer of women, it does not discriminate and you cannot see it when you look in the mirror. Our shirts were very popular at this year's heart walk, as were last year's. The attention our shirts attract has given us countless opportunities to share my families journey, give others hope and encouragement, and stress the importance of taking care of your heart and recognizing the symptoms of heart disease. This year my little team raised $3800. Next year we hope to double that. Thank you, CustomInk! "
