"We Remember" EOD in the Marine Corps by Leann Valks - over 1 year ago
"These photographs were taken at "The Shop" in North Carolina, the weekend after our wedding. This shirt was created for my wedding and as a gift for my husband and our friends. My husband had taken the last remaining picture of these two Marine Corps Explosive Ordinance Technicians (EOD TECHS) during their last deployment. They were made to remember these men and their brothers who made the ultimate sacrifice so that others may live and they are always with us. On the right sleeve it has EJ "Sinner" Pate Jr and a skull and crossbombs which shows his adventurous side, and on the left sleeve it has Dan "Xtreme" Patron and a dirt bike, which was a big passion of his. In the front it has the Master EOD Badge and a yellow ribbon of remembrance, but in true EOD fashion they have to show their goofy personalities by wearing bomb suits during the summer, surrounded by bombs, robots, and armored vehicles. My experience working with customink was something i was very, very satisified with. They addressed all my concerns and the sanctity of having things the names, the picture, the remembrance with respect. They couldn't have helped my creation come alive as it did in the shirt. "
Team Special Kay Paddlin for Pink by Team Special Kay - over 1 year ago
"This is our team photo for the NJ Dragon Boat Festival, Paddle for Pink, which is a breast cancer fundraiser. Every one of us pictured here competed in dragon boat races to raise money for breast cancer related causes, and every one of us had NO experience amongst a ton of other teams full of seasoned vets!! We paddled our hearts out and had a blast doing it. Our team was named after our late Grandma and leader of the pack and we all KNOW she would've been proud! AND we got a million compliments on our Custom Ink tees throughout the event and especially on how awesome the hot pink ink color came out!!"
The Roast Beasts by Natalie S - over 1 year ago
"This past November we lost our sister, cousin and friend, Lindsay, after a courageous 2 year battle with colon cancer. The story behind our team name: Throughout her fight with cancer, Lindsay not only had a great attitude, she had a great sense of humour. After her surgery to remove her tumour, she nicknamed it "The Beast" and growing up, a common Sunday dinner in our family was roast beef. With her friends knowledge of Sunday Dinners and Lindsay naming her tumour "The Beast", the "The Roast Beasts" were created. We designed these shirts for this years Relay for Life and had them personalized with the nicknames that Lindsay had given us over the years. We chose blue as that is the colour of the colon cancer ribbon. "

Morabito Mob - Hopewalk 2012 by Mob - almost 2 years ago
"For the third year in a row, the Morabito Mob "Walked to Whack Cancer" in the Stewarts Caring Place Annual Hopewalk held in Fairlawn, Ohio in each May. This year was the toughest as it was the first year without our main Mobster, Patrick 'Pop" Morabito who lost his battle with cancer in August 2011. We ordered our awesome customink teamshirts for the first time in 2010 and reordered new ones this year to add a special message on the back for Pop. "
"We ran in honor of our son Jack who lost his battle with cancer at the age of 5 in Sept 2010. Team Jack was started in his name by a friend and now we run every year at the Long Island Marathon in New York. Our son had such an impact on so many people and we were so fortunate to be able to share him with all our friends. They all embraced him and loved him as if he was one of there own. With Jack's charity (Join A Cause for Kids...J.A.C.K.) off and running we hope next years event is even bigger. Thanks for the shirts everyone loved them...."
Save the War in my Rack- Team Doing it for Momma Tomkins by Jaime - almost 2 years ago
"Every year my team runs the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in DC to honor my mother, Momma Tomkins who lost her battle to breast cancer 5 years ago. Since it was the 5 year anniversary year of her death, we wanted to make really great shirts. We came up with the slogan "save the war in my rack" and used the camo shirts to go along with the slogan. They were a hit at the race and made it so easy to spot team members in DC! "
WMDMS Race for the Cure 2012 by Alex Collada - almost 2 years ago
"This photo was taken as we approached the finish line of the Race for the Cure 5k in Hartford, CT (6/2/2012). The Race for the Cure is a Susan G. Komen event raising money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer. There were seven of us running arm in arm at the end (only 5 showing). Members of our group included cancer survivors and those running for family members that succumbed to the disease. Our group is comprised of friends in the Hartford, CT area. Twelve in all, we call ourselves the Wine Me Dine Me Society (WMDMS). Custom Ink went above and beyond what I expected for customer service; our group was very impressed. Not only did they notice that I placed separate orders (same design) for women's and men's shirts (different products), combined the two, and lowered the cost; but they also donated to the charity event printed on our shirts (without solicitation). Bite Me, Brain Cancer! by christythekidd - almost 2 years ago
"This photo was taken at the 2010 Bay Area Brain Tumor Walk to support the National Brain Tumor Society. Every year, my team and I walk in memory of my father, Chuck, who fell victim to Brain Cancer. His favorite phrase was "Bite me"...so it's only fitting that we placed that into the team name, which is "Bite Me, Brain Cancer!". "
