"The ladies of Teresa Hoffman M.D & Associates joined together to race in the Baltimore Womens Classic on June 22, 2014. We joined this cause to honor and support a coworker who was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer during a routine surgery. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and follow up surgeries. The Baltimore Womens Classic organization helps improve the quality of daily for families engaged in gynecologic cancer treatment by providing services, such as transportation, grocery shopping, meal preparation, house cleaning and prescription drug co-payment. Sarah's Angels walking to knock out Ovarian cancer by Sarah's Angels - 2 months ago

Sarah's Angels Walking To Knock Out Ovarian Cancer T-Shirt Photo

"We walked in the Teal Ribbon 5K on May 25th at Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, PA. This was the seventh year that we walked in memory of Sarah “Momma” Roth. For those of you who did not have the privilege of knowing Sarah, here is just a little glimpse of her life. For those of you who did have the blessing of knowing her, I know she is an angel up in heaven who watches over all of us with that great big smile and contagious laugh. …… Sarah was the Mailroom Supervisor at Cedar Crest College in Allentown. During her time at the college, she touched many women's lives. While she and her husband, Rich could not have children she "adopted" many of these girls and helped them through the struggles and tears as well as the smiles and laughs. Sarah stood by their sides for 4 years and then proudly watched as they graduated and became women. Many of these women have gone on to be married, have children of their own, and some of them still get together each fall for a "family vacation" to the Outer banks in North Carolina. Sarah loved the beach, the sand and especially the lighthouses. She, like the lighthouses she adored, was a beacon of hope. Sarah was 56 years old when she passed away on March 5, 2007 from Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. The cancer had metastasized into her abdominal wall and lymph nodes in no time at all. They tried many chemo drugs, but none had the strength to stop the disease. She then was told that she had 2 tumors on her liver. Although each and every day was an incredible struggle for her, she fought to live with all her might. Sarah was the most positive and hopeful person and she always had a smile on her face. Her laugh was contagious and she unknowingly spread her positive attitude to everyone she met. Sarah used to say that her goal in life was to “make a difference in just one person’s life”. She succeeded and surpassed her goal! She made a difference in so many people’s lives. For all the hugs, laughs, tears, and love that she gave....this is why we walk today. We love her with all our hearts and miss her every single day. Sarah was an amazing person who made this world a better place. She was taken too soon by this silent killer. We need to find a cure for this disease so that no other person has to suffer through this terrible disease, the pain of chemo or losing their loved one. This is why Sarah's Angels walk for a cure! This was our first year wearing matching shirts and we loved them! They made the whole day even more special and memorable. Custom Ink was amazing and helped us step by step thru the process and our shirts were perfect! I highly recommend Custom Ink! "
